ScerGAL4MJ94 labels the gustatory receptor neurons that innervate the internal larval sense organs.

In third instar larvae, expression is observed in receptor neurons of the larval olfactory and gustatory organs.

Expression is in the entire set of sensory neurons of larval and adult pharyngeal sensory systems.

In third instar larvae, expression observed in the Bolwig's organ, dorsal organ, terminal organ, and dorsal, ventral, and posterior pharyngeal sensilla.

Late larval MJ94-Gal4 projections into the neuropil cover the ch-areas and areas i, iii, iv (but not 'ii').

Expression is observed in the chemosensory antennal lobes, and very weakly in the mushroom body.

When GAL4MJ94 is used to drive expression of the ala peptide, conditioning, but not memory, is affected in adult flies.
