ScerGAL4GSG2696 drives mifepristone-inducible expression primarily in neurons. In the ventral nerve cord, moderate expression is observed in 4+ dorsal midline cells/hemisegment, including the A1-7 dorsal motor neurons (MNISN-Is), and in 10+ ventral cells/hemisegment; weak expression is observed in lateral cells. Variable levels of expression is observed in longitudinal intersegmental processes along the Fas2-positive DL and VL fascicles. Weak expression is observed in a few scattered cell bodies int he brain. Moderate expression is observed in chordotonal organs, and weak expression in multidendritic neurons. Weak expression is observed in type Is and Ib neuromuscular junctions of most muscles; labeling is not visible on transverse muscles. Expression is observed in oenocytes and salivary glands. Very faint uninduced exprssion is observed in the salivary glands
