ScerGAL4GSG4948 drives mifepristone-inducible expression primarily in neurons. Moderate expression is observed in the ventral nerve cord in 1-3 cells per hemisegment at the dorsal midline, 1-3 cells per hemisegment at the ventral midline, in lateral cells, and in the lateral longitudinal intersegmental processes. Moderate expression is observed in a small number of cells in the medial region of the brain hemisphere, and in the antennal lobe. Weak expression is observed in chordotonal organs and in the abdominal intersegmental bidendritic neuron isbp (lbd). Weak expression is observed at the neuromuscular junctions of muscles 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 12, 13, 15 and 16.
