Description

A pentamer of a 38bp region of the ninaE promoter (each copy of the 38bp sequence contains the minimal 29bp fragment protected by gl protein in a footprinting assay plus additional flanking nucleotides, with a mutation of ATTG to CAGT 3' to the gl binding site) is fused upstream of a minimal Hsp27 promoter followed by sequence encoding lacZ tagged with a nuclear localization signal.
