Description

Fragment that encompasses the Polr2A transcription unit. The coding sequence contains the R741H mutation found in the Polr2A4 allele (which confers resistance to amanitin in Polr2A4 flies). In addition, an oligonucleotide has been introduced upstream of the CTD heptad repeat domain; this introduces 7 novel amino acids (QQFFGLM) followed by two stop codons, truncating the protein before the CTD repeats.
