Reference

In embryos, induced expression observed in epidermis, but not in yolk. Embryonic expression assayed after injection with LPS.

Upon LPS-induction, expressed in adult fat body, but not in larval fat body. Induction is achieved by injection of LPS (bacterial liposaccharide) into the body cavity; mimics response to bacterial infection. No expression observed in controls not exposed to LPS.
