UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a 3.7kb KpnI-NotI cDNA fragment corresponding to the full-length hdc mRNA that contains two UAA stop codons (translational readthrough of the first, in-frame, stop codon can occur, thus this construct can produce two protein isoforms).
