Expression of hdcScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 has no effect on the development of the proximal dendrites of the ddaC dorsal dendritic arborising neurons and no degeneration or cell death is seen in these neurons during the larval stages. Pruning of the ddaC dendrites does not appear significantly different from wild type.
Scer\GAL4btl.PS-mediated expression in wild type embryos suppresses terminal branching of the tracheal system. In a few embryos Scer\GAL4btl.PS-mediated and Scer\GAL4p127-mediated expression also causes extra branching phenotypes.
