Throughout the larval stages expression with the Kenyon cells is within a small cluster peripherally positioned in each of the clusters deriving from the embryonic mushroom body neuroblasts. Expression is detected in the outermost surface layer of the pedunculus and the mushroom body lobes.

Larval expression is observed in Kenyon cells, calyces, and lobe-like structures of the mushroom body.
