UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat of a 500bp fragment corresponding to nucleotides 122-621 of the GNBP1 coding sequence. The two copies of the 500bp fragment are separated by an intronic sequence that acts as a spacer. The RNA produced should form a hairpin.
