ScerGAL4mir-279.PC drives expression in a widespread pattern in the adult brain. It is not expressed in the sLNV clock neurons.

ScerGAL4mir-279.PC drives expression in the developing sensory organ of the maxillary palp. Expression is weak in the precursor cell pIIb, which also expresses elav and pros. Expression is stronger in both cell daughters of pIIb, and in the sheath (thecogen) cell which is produced after another cell division. The sheath cell also expresses pros.
