Reference

ScerGAL4fru.16 generates maximal expression in 5-day old adults. Expression is observed in the mediolateral part of the second antennal segment. Expression is observed in all three pairs of legs: in approximately three cells of the tibia, approximately six cells in each of the first to the fourth tarsi, and approximately ten cells in the most distal tarsal segment. Expression is seen within approximately 20 cells of the tegula, and in a large cluster of cells in the dorsal-proximal part of the radius with a less compact cluster of cells more distally between the first and second septum of the radius. Expression of ScerGAL4fru.16 is seen in neurons innervating the muscle of Lawrence (male abdominal 5 muscle), the seminal vesicles, the testicular duct, the anterior ejaculatory duct, the ejaculatory bulbs and the aedeagus (insect penis).
