Description

An approximately 2kb fragment of Gr66a promoter sequences is fused upstream of three copies of the mRFP(Unk) coding region, which are separated from each other by IRES sequences (from the Ubx gene). An SV40 3' UTR is also present.

DiscRFPGr66a.PD is expressed in gustatory neurons of the bitter-sensitive short labellar taste bristles, and in gustatory neurons of all of the intermediate labellar taste bristles.

DiscRFPGr66a.PD labels the bitter-sensitive neuron of the labellum and the prothoracic leg. It is co-expressed with ScerGAL4Gyc-89Da.1.9 and ScerGAL4Gyc-89Db.3.4 in subsets of gustatory neurons in the labellum.
