Male flies expressing twzKK107922 via Scer\GAL4Tdc2.PC at 29[o]C have only 0.33-fold of the normal twz RNA expression levels and only 0.42-fold of normal TfAP-2 expression. That is, expression of twzKK107922 reduces the level of both twz and TfAP-2.
UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
P-element construct created in vivo: the hairpin-containing segment, carried in a pKC26-derived plasmid, was introduced into flies and inserted via site-specific recombination into a genomic copy of P{attP,y+,w3'}.
Possible off-target effects (low probability).
