UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat of an 800bp PCR fragment spanning exon 3 and exon 4, including a 54bp intron, of fuss. This intron creates a small mismatch between fuss-scrambled-RNAi and fuss mRNA that prevents knockdown of fuss but demonstrates the absence of off-target effects.
