Description

bHLH domain of SREBP has been replaced by sequence encoding a lexA::p65 driver in the context of a genomic fragment that is expressed under the control of the native SREBP promoter. The protein produced is subject to the same physiologically-regulated proteolytic processing as endogenous SREBP. Thus, this construct acts as a reporter to follow SREBP protein activation in vivo.
