The hb minimal maternal promoter together with the 5'UTR of the maternal 3.2kb hb transcript) drives expression of deGradFP. The bcd 3'UTR is present downstream of the coding sequence; this sequence promotes mRNA localization to the anterior pole of the oocyte and egg.
