Description

The nSyb promoter drives expression of FLP, with the FLP coding sequence flanked by a pair of FRT13 sites (in the same orientation). This design results in expression of FLP from this transgene being self-regulating; the use of flanking FRT13 sites corresponds to a medium probability of self-excision of the coding sequence, and hence medium FLP activity.
