This transcript differs from other sdk transcripts in the presence of a 24 bp mini exon. One cDNA with this mini exon was recovered in FBrf0098319, but it is not clear which 5' exon it is associated with. The curator has shown the longest known 5' exon as the first exon of this mRNA.

sdk cDNAs isolated differ in their first exon splice donor sites; 3 different splice donor sites have been identified. One of the sdk cDNAs isolated retains a microexon not retained by the other cDNAs, resulting in a predicted protein 9 amino acids longer than that predicted for the others.

Transcript terminates at site supported by polyadenylated cDNA.
