Reference
Expression is within all LN neurons, a subset of the DN1 and DN3 neurons, and not at all in the DN2 neurons. Expression was not seen in the third instar larval Pdf negative s-LNv neuron. Fibres of the Pdf negative s-LNV neuron were observed to project towards the accessory medulla and arborize in its central area.
Scer\GAL4[cry.PE] is expressed in all of the LNv, LNd, DN3 and DN1 neurons in the protocerebrum. It also labels the medulla projections of LNv and DN3 and a lamina projection from the fifth s-LNv PDF-negative neuron. The staining intensity in the cell bodies in the accessory medulla was stronger in the l-LNv than in the s-LNv cells. There is also staining in restricted domains in the lobula which did not originated from the neurons that projected to the medulla.
