Eyes composed of over 90% Df(1)jubI mutant cells show severe reduction in size. Df(1)jubI mutant clones in eye and wing imaginal discs are significantly smaller than wild-type twin-spot clones. Df(1)jubI mutant cells display reduced asynchronous cell division activity anterior to the morphogenetic furrow, and a near complete loss of the second mitotic wave.
