Description

The coding region of ccb is intact - the lower expression of ccb in heads from ccbks145 flies indicates that the mutation could affect regulatory regions.

Detailed Description

ccbks145 adults exhibit morphological defects in ellipsoid body.

Show significantly reduced ability to develop ethanol tolerance.

Mutants show defects in the central complex, ranging from failure of the ellipsoid body to close at the ventral aspect to a complete duplication of the ellipsoid body.

Fan shaped body and ellipsoid body stretched along the transverse axis, ellipsoid body is opened. Overlaps wild type by approximately 20%. Noduli may be fragments and in 50% of brains protocerebral bridge may be slightly segmented.

Ellipsoid body and central body are flat and broadened. Deficient in olfactory learning.
