lmgA03424/lmgA03424 embryos have no muscle defects.

Homozygotes die at pharate adult stage P15(i). The mitotic index in third larval instar brains is increased compared to wild type and 19.6 +/- 5.6 % of the cells are polyploid. Third larval instar brains and wing imaginal discs show increased levels of apoptosis compared to wild type.

lmg03424 mutant C4da neuronal clones do not exhibit defects in dendrite pruning or neuronal cell death 18-20 hours after puparium formation.

No defects are seen in axon pruning during metamorphosis, though severe proliferation defects ar seen when somatic clones are made in the neuroblast.

Reduced eye. Lack of adult abdominal cuticle due to apoptosis of histoblast cells.

lmgA03424 vihS110501 double mutants die at bubble prepupa stage P3. The mitotic index in third larval instar brains is increased compared to wild type and 44.3 +/- 8.4 % of the cells are polyploid.
