The number of cells in the nau-expressing muscle precursor clusters is increased compared to wild-type in homozygous embryos.

Homozygous embryos have an increased number of cardiac precursor cells.

Embryonic CNS exhibits severe disturbances and larval exhibit moderate cuticle loss.

Adult escapers of mamKE372/mam21 have strong enhancement of the wing phenotype: notches on wing margin, thickening of vein 2.

mam21 expression was modified by the presence of ASC loss-of-function mutations.

Extreme allele. Heterozygotes show delta-like widenings of wing veins L2, L3 and L4 at the margins of the wings.
