      The lateral ocelli are absent with only the ocellar pits remaining and the medial ocellus is reduced in size in noc7/Df(2L)b81a1 flies. The post-vertical and ocellar macrochaetae are reduced in size or absent, and the intra-ocellar microchaetae are misplaced.
