Detailed Description

Genomic replication persists longer than normal in homozygous mutant females, being seen in stage 10A egg chambers. In ovaries from dupPA77/dupa1 female flies, incorporation of BrdU into the follicle cell genome is reduced. This reduction is most apparent at stage 9. No incorporation is seen at the chorion loci at any stage.

Eggs have reduced dorsal appendages and a thin, fragile cuticle: abnormalities in chorion gene amplification.
