Hemizygous flies show high frequencies of chromosome loss and mis-segregation in male meiosis II.

Levels of nondisjunction are higher in males than females.

Defects in sister chromatid cohesion. 20--30% total non-disjunction: male predominant nondisjunction. Hemizygotes exhibited a small increase in total nondisjunction. High frequency of premature separation of sister chromatids in prophase II. Nondisjunction of chromosomes 2 and 3 in males.
