Description

Inversion that causes the replacement of the carboxyl terminal 350 amino acids (out of a total of 2144 amino acids) with a novel sequence of 21 amino acids.

Inversion breakpoint within ash1 at nucleotide 6453. Nucleotide sequence beyond the breakpoint is rdgC 5' untranslated region sequence.

Reference

Double heterozygotes of E(z)5, E(z)1 or Df(3L)lxd6 with ash129 result in transformations of the third leg to the second leg and first leg to second leg. This phenotype is that expected from partial loss of function of Scr and Ubx.
