The dpp reporter is mostly expressed anterior to phosphorylated Mad at the morphogenetic furrow in third instar larval eye discs.

Expression is observed in both the male and female genital discs, and is complementary to that of wg. Expression is excluded from the repressed male primordium in the female genital disc.

The Ecol\lacZdpp.BS3.0 reporter construct reflects wildtype expression of dpp in the imaginal discs. Expression is detected in a stripe along the anterior-posterior boundary of the wing disc and along the morphogenetic furrow in the eye-antennal disc.

Expressed in cells on anterior side of the A/P boundary.

The expression pattern of Ecol\lacZdpp.BS3.0 most closely recapitulates wild-type dpp expression patterns during development.
