Detailed Description

SNa motoneurons often inappropriately innervate a neighbouring non-target muscle, muscle 12, when Con is ectopically expressed. Ectopic innervation of muscle 12 is only rarely observed in a ConFvex238 genetic background, innervation of the native SNa target muscles is normal.

In homozygous embryos the SNb fails to diverge from the ISN partially (partial bypass) in 2% segments and the SNc partially fails in 1% segments. ConFvex238suppresses the SNc divergence defect of beat-Ia2 and beat-Ia3 flies.

The overall pattern of nerve branching and innervation appears normal.

The Sema-1ak13702 segmental nerve a (SNa) defasciculation defects are not suppressed by ConFvex238 alone. However, rescue of the Sema-1ak13702 SNa stall phenotype is seen in Fas2EB112/+ ; Sema-1ak13702 ; ConFvex238 triple mutant embryos; the SNa dorsal branches bifurcate at lateral muscles (LMs) 22-23 and extend dorsally.
