Scer\GAL4444- or Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1-mediated expression does not cause a morphological alteration in the cuticle of first instar larvae.

Expression of hthScer\UAS.cPa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 has no effect on eye development.

Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 or Scer\GAL4C-765 induced expression of P{UAS-Ubx.Ia.M} or P{UAS-abd-A.M} in the wing disc causes transformation of the wing into haltere-like tissue. Co-expression of P{UAS-exd.G} (induced by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096) does not significantly modify the wing transformation.

Scer\GAL4E132 mediated expression in the central region of the leg disc causes deformations in the central folds, the basitarsus is fused to the proximal femur due to disappearance of the distal femur and tibia. Scer\GAL4Dll-md23 mediated expression all over the leg disc causes a complete disappearance of the central wings and a severe reduction in the size of the leg disc. Adult legs appear truncated, only containing coxa, trochanter and proximal femur. Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 mediated expression in the leg disc causes reduction of all distal structures (coxa, trochanter and proximal femur are unaffected).

Overexpression of exdScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH in a L2 heterozygous background does not affect the loss-of-ventral-eye phenotype found in L2/+ mutants.

Co-expression of exdScer\UAS.cGa in combination with AntpScer\UAS.cBa or AntpAAAA.Scer\UAS in the presence of Nact.sev all under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in approximately 2% of flies exhibiting wing structures in the eye region, compared to around 40% when exdScer\UAS.cGa is absent. Only 3% of these flies show antenna-to-leg transformation compared with 28% without exdScer\UAS.cGa. The presence of exdScer\UAS.cGa also inhibits antenna-to-leg transformation induced by AntpAAAA.Scer\UAS from 19% to 4.5% (in a Nact.sev and Scer\GAL4ey.PH background).
