    Description

FlyBase curator comment: this entry is used to capture phenotypic information when the particular allele (or allele combination) used by the author could not be determined but the context of the experiment suggests that the phenotype being described is some kind of loss of function.

The total number of bristles on the basitarsi of the second legs is slightly increased.

The denticle bands of segments T1, T3, A2, A4, A6 and A8, and the naked cuticle of segments T2, A1, A3, A5 and A7 are deleted in hunspecified mutant embryos.

Df(2R)vg-B/+; hunspecified/+ double heterozygotes have terminal and posterior compartment notching of the wings. Df(2R)vg-B/+; hunspecified/hunspecified flies show only occasional notching of the wing but have ectopic veins. vgs2/+; hunspecified/hunspecified flies show no notching of the wing but have more diffused ectopic bristles and ectopic veins. vgs2/vgs2; hunspecified/hunspecified double homozygotes have ectopic bristles almost covering the wing surface, ectopic veins are found all over the wing surface, and an additional row of stout bristles is seen parallel to those found in the proximal part of the wing.

hunspecified pydunspecified double mutants show synergistic increases in bristle number on the basitarsi of the second legs. hunspecified pydunspecified acHw-1 and hunspecified pydunspecified acHw-49c triple mutants show synergistic increases in the number of bristles on the basitarsi of the second legs.

hunspecified pydunspecified double mutants show synergistic increases in bristle number on the basitarsi of the second legs. The number of bristles on the basitarsi of the second legs is further increased if the flies are triply mutant for hunspecified, pydunspecified and acHw-1, or for hunspecified, pydunspecified and acHw-49c.
