Expression of kaybZip.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in a strong cleft thorax phenotype. However, when kaybZip.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B, no thoracic phenotype is visible.

Expression of kaybZip.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in the development of small rough eyes.

Expression of kaybZip.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 or Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in the appearance of a cleft in the thorax.

Animals expressing kaybZip.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4C-765 develop to late embryonic stages and die with a dorsal anterior hole.

The border follicle cell migration defects that are seen in flies co-expressing both PvrDN.Scer\UAS and hepAct.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 are partially suppressed by the co-expression of kaybZip.Scer\UAS.

Expression of kaybZip.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B in a Mnn1Δ46/+ background results in a moderate thoracic cleft phenotype, while no phenotype is observed in a wild-type background. Scer\GAL4how-24B>kaybZip.Scer\UAS expression in a Mnn1Δ46/Mnn1Δ79 background results in pre-pupal lethality.

Coexpression of Mnn1Scer\UAS.cCa with kaybZip.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH, results in complete suppression of the Scer\GAL4ey.PH>kaybZip.Scer\UAS rough eye phenotype.
