Amino acid replacement: C281Y.
G9502822A
C281Y | Wnt2-PA; C254Y | Wnt2-PB
C281Y
Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
Mutant embryos do not show salivary gland defects.
With variable penetrance, homozygous males have much smaller testes than wild-type. The hub cells, cyst cells and terminal epithelial cells are present. The germ cell lineage is also present. The outermost pigment layer, which normally covers both the testis and seminal vesicles, is absent. The muscle cell layer of the testis sheath is malformed or incomplete. Testis colour: the testis sheath lacks yellow pigmentation. Homozygotes have held out wings.
Wnt4C1/Wnt2L is a non-enhancer of lateral transverse muscle cell | embryonic stage 16 phenotype of Wnt5400
Wnt2L, Wnt4C1 has lateral transverse muscle cell | embryonic stage 16 phenotype
Generated in the same screen as Wnt2K, and has the same amino acid replacement, therefore the 2 mutations may not be independent events.
