Amino acid replacement: G57D.
G9501484A
G57D | Wnt2-PA; G30D | Wnt2-PB
G57D
Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
At 18oC: testes are wild type, ings show held-out phenotype, DFMs not studied in detail. At 29oC: testis phenotype: severe loss of pigment cells and muscle, indistinguishable from null phenotype. Held out wing phenotype: wings are held out, DFMs not studied in detail.
With variable penetrance, homozygous males have much smaller testes than wild-type. The hub cells, cyst cells and terminal epithelial cells are present. The germ cell lineage is also present. The outermost pigment layer, which normally covers both the testis and seminal vesicles, is absent. The muscle cell layer of the testis sheath is malformed or incomplete. Testis colour: the testis sheath lacks yellow pigmentation. Homozygotes have held out wings.
Wnt2[+]/Wnt2I is a suppressor | partially of short lived phenotype of Hsap\HTTQ93.ex1.UAS, Scer\GAL4elav.PU
Wnt2I/+ significantly partially suppresses the decreased lifespan seen in flies with expression of Hsap\HTTQ93.ex1p.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4elav.PU.
