When apScer\UAS.cMa expressing clones (driven by Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP) are made in the ventral part of the wing disc, they are significantly rounder than wild-type clone. apScer\UAS.cMa, Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP clones also fail to respect the dorsal ventral boundary.

apScer\UAS.cMa; Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP somatic clones are recovered much less frequently in the ventral compartment of 3rd instar wing discs than in the dorsal compartment. The few surviving ventral clones adopt a more rounded shape than dorsal clones or wild-type control clones.

Expression of apScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 does not affect wing development.

Expression of apScer\UAS.cMa when driven by Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 leads to a loss of dorsocentral bristles.

Flies expressing apScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 produce ectopic wing margins on both sides of the stripe of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 expression in the ventral compartment of the wing.

The Bx1 scalloped wing phenotype is completely suppressed by expression of apScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544.

The loss of ventrally located somatic clones of apScer\UAS.cMa; Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP cells in late third instar wing discs is suppressed by BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa, mamEPgJ3-285, or NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa, but not by trnScer\UAS.cMa, capsScer\UAS.cSa, capsID.Scer\UAS, or trnΔC.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC.

Co-expression of apScer\UAS.cMa does not rescue wing pouch growth in wing discs expressing BxScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544.

Suppresses the wing phenotype caused by expression of ChiScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544. Does not suppress the wing phenotype caused by expression of ChiΔLID.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544. Does not suppress the wing phenotype caused by expression of BxEP1306 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544.

The Bx1 wing phenotype is completely suppressed by apScer\UAS.cMa expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544.
