      Eggs laid by homozygous Sry-δSF2 escaper females develop into embryos which have cuticles with a strong bcd-like phenotype, showing deletion of anterior structures and thoracic segments and duplication of the posterior telson. This phenotype is rescued by bcdsbcs.T:Ecol\lacZ.
