embryonic/first instar larval cuticle & thoracic segment
Sry-δSF2 homozygous females have normal ovaries.
Eggs laid by homozygous escaper females develop into embryos which have cuticles with a strong bcd-like phenotype, showing deletion of anterior structures and thoracic segments and duplication of the posterior telson.
Approximately 60-70% of hemizygous embryos survive. Approximately 80% of hemizygous males survive to adulthood. These males show a pronounced atrophy of the gonads, with no spermatozoa bundles. Female hemizygous escapers do not lay any eggs.
Sry-δSF2 has lethal phenotype, suppressible by Dpse\Sry-deltatFa
Dpse\Sry-deltatFa, Sry-δSF2 has viable phenotype
Sry-δSF2 has embryonic/first instar larval cuticle phenotype, suppressible by bcdp2107sbcs
Sry-δSF2 has embryonic/first instar larval cuticle & thoracic segment phenotype, suppressible by bcdp2107sbcs
Sry-δSF2 has telson | posterior phenotype, suppressible by bcdp2107sbcs
Sry-δSF2/Sry-delta[+] is a suppressor of female germline stem cell phenotype of piwi2
The Sry-δSF2 phenotype is not significantly altered by bcdT:Ecol\lacZ, but is rescued by bcdsbcs.T:Ecol\lacZ.
Lethality is completely rescued by one copy of Dpse\Sry-δtFa.
Introduction of P{sryDB56,ry+} causes partial rescue of the mutant phenotype, thoracic segments are missing and elements of telson are duplicated.
