Description

Genomic nanos fragment in which the nanos 3'UTR has been replaced with the αTub84B 3'UTR. Three direct repeats of the +4 element from the nanos 3' untranslated region (UTR) have been inserted in the αTub84B 3' UTR sequences. A Tag:HA epitope has been inserted at the 5' end of the nanos coding region.

      Embryos derived from nosBN females carrying nosnos.+4-3X.T:Ivir\HA1 develop 4-6 abdominal segments in 1% of cases and 7-8 abdominal segments in 99% of cases. 97% of these embryos show loss of head or thorax structures.
