Description

Genomic nanos fragment in which the nanos 3'UTR has been replaced with the αTub84B 3'UTR. Three direct repeats of the +3 element from the nanos 3' untranslated region (UTR) have been inserted in the αTub84B 3' UTR sequences. A Tag:HA epitope has been inserted at the 5' end of the nanos coding region.

      Comments

      Embryos derived from nosBN females carrying nosnos.+3-3X.T:Ivir\HA1 develop 4-6 abdominal segments in 4% of cases and 7-8 abdominal segments in 96% of cases. All of these embryos show loss of head or thorax structures.
