Expression of trblScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in wings with a posterior compartment of close to normal size and pattern, but made up of fewer, larger cells than normal. The posterior cells of wing discs expressing trblScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E are also fewer and larger than control cells. Almost all of the posterior cells are in G2/M. Very few mitotic cells are seen in the imaginal discs, suggesting that the G2 phase of the posterior wing imaginal disc cells is slowed substantially by expression of trblScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E.

Expression of trblScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 completely prevents border cell migration. There is no effect on centripetal cell migration.
