      Expression of numbEP2542 under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in potential socket-to-shaft transformations. Sensory cells with one socket and two shafts, one socket and no shaft and two sockets and one shaft are seen. Rarely, sensory organs with one socket, one shaft and two sheath cells or no socket and two shafts, and small shaft and socket cells are seen.
