Expression of CG12084^EP3673 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ey.PH results in eyes that are somewhat reduced in size. Flies expressing CG12084^EP3673 under the control of Scer\GAL4^hs.2sev have wild-type eyes. Flies expressing CG12084^EP3673 under the control of Scer\GAL4^en-e16E have wild-type wings.

Expression of CG12084^EP3673 under the control of Scer\GAL4^sca-537.4 results in the loss of external support cells of the scutellar and dorsocentral macrochaetae. Sheath cells can be present or absent. Sensory organs with no socket and one shaft and dot-like shaft morphology are seen.
