The P{lArB} element in neurA101 has been replaced with the P{GawB} element from P{GawB}SG18.1 by P\T-mediated conversion.
neurGAL4-A101 heterozygotes exhibit learning and 9-minute memory abilities that appear identical to wild-type controls. However, these animals display significantly reduced 260-minute memory. This memory deficit is detectable 24 hours later. These mutants do not exhibit deficiencies in the perception of conditioned stimuli (CS) and unconditioned stimuli (US) or detectable aberrations in the architecture of the brain and the mushroom bodies.
