The A2611C substitution and a 32bp insertion between nucleotides 2606 and 2607 map towards the 3' end of the proposed Su(P) ORF. These mutations are also found in Su(P)pe.

Comment:

32 base insertion. The Su(P)pr26 suppressor strain is reported as having a 32 base insertion as well as a A to C base change. Both are present in the reference genome. At least one of these mutations is reported to be responsible for the difference between Su and non-Su alleles.
