Detailed Description

Expression of bskScer\UAS.cAYa under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 increases apoptosis and reduces tissue growth.

Expression of bskScer\UAS.cAYa under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF or Scer\GAL4elav.PU leads to an increase in survival duration by about 5-7 days when exposed to 0.5ppm 1-octen-3-ol.

Larval ddaE neurons expressing bskUAS.cAYa under the control of Scer\GAL4221 (and Dicer-2, for a more efficient RNAi) do not show significant changes in the number of growing microtubules within dendrites 8h after axotomy, or in the proportion of dendrites persisting after consecutive axotomy and dendrite severance (i.e. axotomy-8h-dendrite severance-18h), as compared to similarly injured control neurons.

Expression of bskScer\UAS.cAYa under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 has no affect on the adult notum.

Co-expression of cpaScer\UAS.N.T:Ivir\HA1 and cpbScer\UAS.cWa significantly restores tissue growth and suppresses apoptosis in flies expressing bskScer\UAS.cAYa under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1.

The split thorax phenotype caused by expression of DrefdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 is suppressed by co-expression of bskScer\UAS.cAYa.

The cleft notum phenotype caused by expression of Nf-YAdsRNA.231-399.Scer\UAS.WIZ under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 is suppressed by co-expression of bskScer\UAS.cAYa.

Comments

Expressing bskScer\UAS.cAYa in bskLL02244/bskLL02244 clones (with Scer\GAL4Tab2-201Y) rescues axon-pruning defects.
