Detailed Description

Reference

Homozygous Kdm4A^KG04636 mutant flies display abnormal twitching of their wings. This phenotype appears at approximately 5 days of age and appear to become more apparent as the flies age. The average number of wing extension twitches is significantly higher in homozygous Kdm4A^KG04636 mutant males than that in females. The male wing extension and twitching behaviour is almost exclusively directed in response to male and not female flies.

Homozygous Kdm4A^KG04636 mutant flies display normal geotactic response and climbing ability.

Homozygous Kdm4A^KG04636 mutant flies are viable.

Homozygous Kdm4A^KG04636 mutant males (but not females) show a significant reduction in lifespan.
