Homozygous Kdm4AKG04636 mutant flies display abnormal twitching of their wings. This phenotype appears at approximately 5 days of age and appear to become more apparent as the flies age. The average number of wing extension twitches is significantly higher in homozygous Kdm4AKG04636 mutant males than that in females. The male wing extension and twitching behaviour is almost exclusively directed in response to male and not female flies.
Homozygous Kdm4AKG04636 mutant flies display normal geotactic response and climbing ability.
Homozygous Kdm4AKG04636 mutant flies are viable.
Homozygous Kdm4AKG04636 mutant males (but not females) show a significant reduction in lifespan.

Kdm4A[+]/Kdm4AKG04636 is a non-suppressor of visible | dominant phenotype of Snr1E1
Kdm4A[+]/Kdm4AKG04636 is a non-enhancer of wing vein | ectopic phenotype of Snr1E1
