Expression of Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO during the third instar larval stage is sufficient to cause larval neuromuscular junction overgrowth.

Expression of Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of the neuronal driver Scer\GAL4BG380 leads to neuromuscular junction overgrowth during larval development. Bouton number per muscle area at muscle 4 is increased compared to controls.

Expression of Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4OK107 results in axon growth and guidance defects in the mushroom body.

Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC when driven by Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 has no effect on transepithelial migration of germ cells in the embryo.

When Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC is driven by Scer\GAL4109(2)80, increased dendritic branching is seen in the dendritic arborising (DA) neurons.

Expression of Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4OK107 does not disrupt mushroom body axon patterning in a wild-type background.

Expression of Mad1/Madk00237 suppresses the larval neuromuscular junction overgrowth and bouton number phenotypes seen when Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC is expressed in motor neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4BG380, instead producing a reduction in bouton number similar to the phenotype seen in Mad1/Madk00237 third instar larvae.

Expression of witA12/witHA3 suppresses the larval neuromuscular junction overgrowth and bouton number phenotypes seen when Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC is expressed in motor neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4BG380, instead producing a reduction in bouton number similar to the phenotype seen in witA12/witHA3 third instar larvae.

Mushroom body axon growth defects in single-cell Rac1J11 Rac2Δ MtlΔ γ neuron clones are largely rescued by expression of Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4OK107. 81% of axons in Rac1J11 Rac2Δ mushroom body clones show mutant phenotypes, predominantly guidance (55%) and branching (24%) defects. Expression of Rac1Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4OK107 markedly rescues these defects.
