Imprecise excision has caused the 3' half of the P{EP}pygoEP1076 insertion to be removed along with the splice acceptor site in the 5' UTR intron of the pygo gene, and the first 295 residues of the ORF.
Deletion associated with the imprecise excision of P{EP}pygoEP1076. Half of the P element remains.
Apoptosis occurring at the edge of the developing eye 42 hours after puparium formation is eliminated in somatic clones homozygous for pygo10. Ectopic photoreceptor clusters occur in these clones at this stage when they fall at the edge of the developing eye.
Ectopic photoreceptors are produced in homozygous clones at the edge of the eye.
About half of embryos that are homozygous pygo10 for the maternal contribution of pygo and are also zygotically pygo10 have no naked cuticle is formed and a denticle lawn phenotype. Those mutant embryos that are have a wild-type paternal copy of pygo have a reduction in the number of denticle belts with some denticle fusions. Homozygous mutant imaginal discs are severely reduced in size. When homozygous mutant clones are made in the wing, notches are often seen, a loss of the wing margin and the associated bristles is seen.
pygo10 has imaginal disc phenotype, non-enhanceable by Axnunspecified
pygo10 has imaginal disc phenotype, non-suppressible by Axnunspecified
pygo10 is a suppressor of photoreceptor neuron | somatic clone phenotype of Axnunspecified
The addition of pygo10 completely suppresses the photoreceptor cell phenotype seen in Axnunspecified mutants. The pygo10 phenotype remains unaffected.
pygo10 is partially rescued by pygoUAS.cPa/Scer\GAL4da.G32
