Expression of l(2)gl3A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca.PU in the adult thorax leads to an increase in the frequency of bristle twinning, as compared to controls.

Larval neuroblasts expressing l(2)gl3A.Scer\UAS via Scer\GAL4wor.PA show abnormal localization of cell polarity determinants.

Scer\GAL4neur-P72-mediated expression of l(2)gl3A.Scer\UAS (controlled using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B) abolishes the asymmetric targeting of Sara-positive endosomes during asymmetric cell division of SOPs.

Expression of l(2)gl3A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA has no affect on the number of neuroblasts in the larval brain.
